Judge Grispin served as a Superior Court Judge from 2008-2018, serving the first two years in the Family Division and the last eight (+) as Presiding Judge Of the Civil Division, two of which were as the Conference Chair of all the Civil Presiding Judges in New Jersey. Prior to his appointment to the bench, he practiced law for thirty-five years and was continuously certified as a Civil (1983) and Criminal (1982) Trial Attorney. Both before and after his appointment to the bench, he taught numerous C.L.E. courses for the I.C.L.E., N.J.A.J. and the Union County Bar and was one of three civil presiding judges who taught the Comprehensive Judicial Orientation Program to incoming/newly transferred Civil judges. He also served as a judge of the Nathan Baker Trial Competition and Moot Court at Rutgers Law School-Newark. In private practice, Judge Grispin focused on civil and criminal litigation but also represented a company on the American Stock Exchange, as well as smaller corporations and LLC’s.

Judge Grispin joined the firm immediately after his retirement from the bench and has mediated and arbitrated a plethora of cases, including claims of personal injury, medical malpractice, dental malpractice, legal malpractice, insurance coverage, employment discrimination and contracts.
