Kimberly Rennie is licensed to practice law in both New Jersey and New York since 2001. Ms. Rennie recognized her passion for practicing law while employed for over 12 years as a paralegal prior to attending law school. She has practiced in all areas of family law exclusively throughout her career including all aspects of divorce and post-judgment issues such as custody, alimony, child support and equitable distribution, as well as prenuptial agreements and domestic violence. While Ms. Rennie is an aggressive litigator having conducted motions, plenary hearings and trials, she also actively engages in mediation and other methods of alternative dispute resolution. Ms. Rennie is detail-oriented and highly motivated to deliver successful results for clients while utilizing her years of experience to manage expectations and assist clients in effectively and efficiently navigating the challenging divorce process, including offering compassion, understanding and support for both the financial as well as the emotional aspects associated with the practice of family law. Ms. Rennie attended Kean University graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Management Science/Accounting. Ms. Rennie is a graduate of Rutgers Law School, Newark, New Jersey where she received the Blaustein Scholar Award, served on the Women’s Right’s Law Reporter and interned with the Rutgers’ Family Law Clinic and the Union County Prosecutor’s Office. Following law school, she served as Law Clerk to the Hon. Melvin S. Whitken, J.S.C. in Union County for 2001-2002 term. In May of 2007, she attended an intensive trial program sponsored by the American Bar Association Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute. Ms. Rennie is a current and/or past member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey Bar Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of American, Co-Chair of the Union County Family Law Committee, a Union County Early Settlement Panelist and Executive Board Member of the Union County Bar Association. Ms. Rennie is a certified Economic Mediator with the State of New Jersey. Since 2006, Ms. Rennie was named to 10 Best Attorneys by the American Institue of Family Law Attorneys and has lectured throughout her career on various topics impacting Family Law.
